1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or requesting services from Los Altos Hills Tree Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 2. Description of Services

Los Altos Hills Tree Service provides residential and commercial tree services in Los Altos Hills, CA and surrounding areas, including but not limited to tree removal, tree trimming, tree pruning, stump grinding, stump removal, land clearing, emergency tree service, and commercial tree service.

All services are subject to availability and site assessment. We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion.

3. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are provided free of charge and are based on an on-site assessment of your property. Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise noted.

Estimates may be revised if conditions at the job site differ materially from what was assessed - for example, if additional hazards, access difficulties, or scope changes are discovered during the work. We will communicate any changes to the estimate before proceeding.

Verbal quotes are not binding. Only written estimates signed by an authorized representative of Los Altos Hills Tree Service constitute a pricing commitment.

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

Service appointments are confirmed in writing or by phone. We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a rescheduling fee.

We reserve the right to reschedule service due to weather conditions, equipment issues, or other factors outside our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to find a new date.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before work begins - the deposit amount will be stated in your written estimate.

Invoices not paid within 30 days of the completion date may accrue a late fee. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to pursue collection through legal means, and you agree to pay all reasonable costs of collection, including attorney fees.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Before service begins, you are responsible for:

• Obtaining any required permits from the local municipality. We will assist with permit research and application, but the permit is ultimately the property owner's responsibility.
• Notifying us of any underground utilities, irrigation lines, or other hazards near the work area.
• Securing pets and ensuring the work area is safe and accessible for our crew.
• Confirming you have the legal authority to authorize tree work on the property, including any required HOA or neighbor approvals.

7. Limitation of Liability

Los Altos Hills Tree Service carries general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. In the event of damage caused directly by our negligence, we will work with our insurance carrier to address valid claims.

We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, underground utilities not disclosed prior to work, or damage caused by factors outside our control. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided.

In no event shall Los Altos Hills Tree Service be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

8. Warranty and Service Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our work. If you have a concern about completed tree services, contact us within 7 days and we will review the work and address any legitimate issues at no additional charge.

This service guarantee does not apply to natural occurrences after project completion, including storm damage, new tree growth, or changes in tree health caused by environmental conditions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.
